Tour in person. Notice the warmth of the staff, the cleanliness of the home, and how residents are treated. Ask about caregiver-to-resident ratios, training, turnover, and how care plans are developed. Watch for genuine smiles, calm energy, and residents who look engaged — not warehoused.

Adult family home care is typically priced monthly and varies based on level of care needed. Long-term care insurance often covers a portion of costs.
